A native of Auburn, Alabama, Matthew Parten earned his Bachelor’s in Public Administration from Auburn University, where he served as a founding member of the university’s mock trial team. He then went on to study at Faulkner Law School in Montgomery, Alabama, from which he graduated in 2018 summa cum laude. While at Faulkner, Matthew continued to pursue his interest in enhancing his legal advocacy skills by representing the school at four national moot court tournaments.

He has been practicing law in Alabama since 2018 and still lives in Auburn. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Worker’s Compensation Division and served as Co-Chair of Alabama Legal Food Frenzy—a major fundraiser for food banks in the state—in 2021 and 2022.

He enjoys spending time with his dog, Susie, reading, traveling, and college sports of all kinds. However, Auburn football, basketball, and baseball hold a special place in his heart.
