John Brandon Snellings

Brandon Snellings grew up in Phenix City, Alabama, where he attended Glenwood School and graduated as Salutatorian. While in high school, Brandon was recognized by the University of Alabama as a Capstone Scholar and attended the World Affairs Seminar at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the National Student Leadership Conference for Law and Advocacy at American University in Washington, D.C., and the ILISA Language Institute while studying abroad in Costa Rica. He was also named as a state finalist in Alabama for Wendy’s High School Heisman for his efforts in academics, athletics, and community service. 

Following high school, Brandon attended Mercer University as a Josiah Penfield Scholar earning his undergraduate degree. At Mercer, Brandon was inducted into the Gamma Sigma Alpha honor society, played for Mercer’s tennis team, again studied abroad in Morocco, and joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity serving multiple offices including president and spending all four years on its executive board. Brandon also participated in Lambda Chi at a national level attending the Impact Leadership program at the University of Florida and serving on the fraternity’s national status committee at the University of Maryland. 

Continuing his education, Brandon attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law as a Jesse Mercer Scholar. Throughout law school Brandon advanced in Mercer’s oral argument and client counseling competitions, captained one of the school’s most successful intramural teams, and focused his education on trial practice including advanced litigation drafting, trial practice manual, and earning an advanced writing and research honor. During his time at law school Brandon also spent two years in Macon, Georgia, clerking in the fields of personal injury and workers’ compensation. Prior to graduation, he also returned to Columbus in order to clerk for Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judges, the Honorable Douglas Pullen and Honorable Bobby Peters.

Returning home after completing his education, Brandon has continued to enjoy being involved in the legal field and local community including serving as president of the Columbus Young Lawyers Division, on the executive board of the Columbus Bar Association, and treasurer of the Columbus Trial Lawyers Association, as well as participating in local CORTA tennis leagues, CASA soccer leagues, and has both acted as legal counsel for and played with the Columbus Lions and Beyond the Game Sports leagues.

Brandon resides in Phenix City, Alabama. When he’s not busy helping our clients, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and cheering on the Auburn Tigers.
