She is about a year old and excited to be a part of the Gary Bruce Law family!
She takes over for Elsie and Stella with abundant joy and energy!!
Her breed is a “French Brittany” or Epagneul Breton (more formal name).
The “French Brittany” is one of the oldest spaniel-type dogs and the smallest of the pointing breeds. Its body is compact, and their coat is slightly wavy with feathering on the legs. Acceptable colors are white and orange, white and black, white, and liver, and tricolored (like Elsie). The dog is energetic and endurant, able to hunt vigorously alongside bigger sporting breeds. It is close-working in hunting style, instinctively quartering in the field and finding birds that long-ranging dogs often miss. She is part of a long lineage of dogs which eventually , through selective breeding, became the “American Brittany”.
More importantly, she loves people, the outdoors, and other dogs – and always greets me with a smile!!
