MISSION Welcome to our web site. I hope to provide you with some basic information about our law firm through this site; however, I do not think any web site provides the insight and information that a face to face meeting allows. I hope that if you have further questions, you will give us a call so that we can set up a meeting to discuss your case and situation in person. In my opinion, there is no substitute for a confidential meeting with the lawyer you intent to hire. I would also like to invite you to meet our staff of paralegals and others who will be working with you through the process. I know it is just as important to have highly skilled and experienced legal support staff as it is to have good lawyers working for you. It is our goal to work as a team to provide the best possible legal representation we can for our clients. It is not all "legal" work that we provide - part of our job is to give our clients meaningful advice, information and encouragement throughout the process. I understand that an injury can be a life changing event in more ways than one. While medical bills alone provide pressure, it is more than the medical bills that are taken from you. Injuries caused by the carelessness of others often result in lost employment opportunities,lost schooling, loss of mobility, and other significant family issues. I understand that it is not just "one call" in most cases. Having said all of that, I realize that you have come to this site to decide whether my firm is competent to handle your case. For that reason, I suggest that you schedule an appointment and meet with us personally - at your home, our office or whereever you are comfortable. I will not send an "investigator" - we will come to meet with you ourselves. If you have more questions, I have written a book that I am happy to share with you. In this book I summarize the rights of the injured victim - your rights to lost wages, medical payments, pain and suffering , punitive damages and more. I also discuss some of the issues relating to the claims made for reimbursement and how to deal with health insurance issues. I will be happy to discuss all of these issues with you in more detail and explore all of the potential avenues for recovery you might have. I feel that providing information is ian mportant element of my job. I want my clients to be part of the process and understand the issues. I am happy to share the law with my clients since I feel my client must be informed of where we are going -the rules so to speak- in order to assist us in getting to that goal of meaningful and just compensation. PRACTICE CONCENTRATION Our office is located directly across from the Government Center in downtown Columbus with plenty of parking in the large grassy lot behind our building. Our office advises, counsels and represents clients in connection with car wrecks, truck wrecks, falls, and other claims which result in injury to innocent people. It is our goal to make the INSURANCE COMPANY pay all that it is obligated to pay , not just the amount they think is "fair". We also fight insurance companies in claims for WORKERS COMPENSATION BENEFITS, disability benefits, and homeowner claims when benefits have been denied, unfairly refused or reduced. BACKGROUND Gary Bruce is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky where he obtained his undergraduate and law degrees. He graduated from law school and started his law practice in 1986. His first experience was working for law firms hired to represent insurance companies. Through that experience, he gained a unique understanding of the methods these companies employ to defend claims. Frankly, he couldn't stand to represent insurance companies any longer and has never - ever - looked back. Gary Bruce moved to Columbus in 1989 and has been active in the community since that time. He is a husband and father of two teenagers. For more than 15 years since starting his own practice, he have focused on representing individuals. Gary has handled countless motor vehicle related claims but has also successfully handled and tried numerous cases involving other acts of bullying by big business and government agencies. As a result of his experience and trial sucesses, he has achieved Board Certification as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Archie E. Grubbs is a native of Eufala, Alabama and a graduate of the University of Alabama. He also spent time as a representative of the insurance industry and gained a variety of experience to now help him in his representation of individuals against those companies. CONSULTATIONS Most cases handled by the Law Office of Gary O. Bruce are on a contingency fee arrangement— meaning there is no fee unless a recovery is made.
