Mitchell Ladson is an attorney who has been working on behalf of Georgia plaintiffs since 2006. He was born in Savannah, Georgia, and raised in southeast Georgia. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for his undergraduate degree and graduated magna cum laude from Emory in 2002 with a B.A. in English. Mr. Ladson received his law degree from Tulane University in 2006. In the summer after his second year of law school, Mr. Ladson worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Anthony A. Alaimo, the Senior Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, in Brunswick, Georgia.
Mr. Ladson handles personal injury lawsuits in Muscogee County and across the state of Georgia, primarily focusing on cases where insurance companies have failed to honor their legal obligations to people injured by the negligence of individuals and corporations. In 2016, Mr. Ladson was honored to receive an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the leading national rating agency for attorneys across the United States. This rating indicates that Mr. Ladson’s peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence, for legal knowledge, communication skills, and ethical standards.
Before moving to Columbus in 2012, Mr. Ladson was an attorney at Ladson Law Firm, P.C., a private practice with offices in Savannah and Richmond Hill, Georgia. At Ladson Law Firm, Mr. Ladson successfully represented plaintiffs in state and federal court in the areas of personal injury, professional malpractice, trucking litigation, and wrongful death. He also represented plaintiffs and defendants in business and construction litigation.
Mr. Ladson regularly handles cases involving car wrecks and commercial vehicles with significant injuries, and is knowledgeable in helping people recover not only from the at-fault party, but also from every responsible insurer, including uninsured motorist carriers and underinsured motorist carriers. For over 10 years, he has litigated cases against national trucking companies, cases involving wrongful death, seriously injured pedestrians, and has handled premises liability cases, including multiple cases involving serious injuries resulting from the misuse of firearms resulting in serious injuries to minors.
Mr. Ladson is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia and is also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court, Middle District and Southern District, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Columbus Trial Lawyers Association.
In Columbus, Mr. Ladson lives with his wife Jennifer and two children, Eleanor and Samuel. They are members of St. Luke United Methodist Church. He participates in a local tennis league (CORTA) and enjoys spending time with his family in and around Columbus.
